Okay shoes, but they do grab attention

I got these shoes for cross country and then found out that these shoes are not running shoes. The first week i wore them they were great and they looked awesome, but after about three weeks of running they began to tatter at the toe. They also do not have the best support. These are nice shoes but i would not recomend these to any serious runners.

Excellent running shoe

These shoes feel great. I recently ran a half marathon with them and my feet were none the worse for wear. I was running with Saucony Omni grid fours previously and swore by them until I tried these. The Sinister's feel lighter and the cushioning feels superior as well.

Great fast shoe, wears too quickly

My husband bought these. He has about 100 miles on them and the heel is wearing out where he strikes. However, he's a 170-lb, 7 minute miler...lighter runners would probably not have any trouble.

Weight Watchers Reccomended

This sneaker was featured in a recent article on Weightwatchers.com as being a great gift idea for fathers day. I was convinced and decided to buy a pair myself. My review is similar to theirs. This is a great looking lightweight running sneaker with terrific breathability & flexibility. I wouldn't reccomend this sneaker for the serious runner being that the ankle support is a bit lacking compared to that of a good nike/aasics. The sneaker is great though for style and/or running no more than 5-10 miles per week. All in all a good sneaker at a desirable price. The color is nothing i've ever seen. You'll stand out no doubt about it. I got a size 13 as that's what I usually wear and it was a tad on the big size. Would have gone a 1/2 size down had I known. Good Training Shoe

They do what they advertise and are a great shoe for running on multiple terrains. The only complaint I have is they are heavier then what I have been using and I can feel it. So that is why I would say it is a shoe good for training but if you plan on using them in a race keep looking. If your a techie then you will love bragging about them. Although most people will not believe you that your shoe does what it does. I think it will become more popular when they add more options like a usb port so it can plug in to your computer and give a full description of your run distance, speed, calories burned etc. eventually it will be like getting all the information you get while running on a treadmill but from a tiny chip in your shoe. I can't wait for that day.

great buy

Bought this shoe after looking for other adidas running shoes, and was not disappointed. The 1.1 was everything I was looking for. The silver and green look great and the shoe is very comfortable. Amazon had the shoe at $150 off, what a great buy.

Rating :

Very gimmicky, but still a superior shoe

At MSRP of $250.00 this is a rip-off. At Amazon's $100.00 they are well worth the dough. This is a premium running shoe that is very durable and extremely comfortable. The only problem is they advise against use in wet conditions.

Questions & Answers
Question : where can i buy good cross country running shoes at a desent price?
I need running shoes and running shorts, shirts, sweet pants,ect... for high school cross country please help

Answer:
If you have Big 5 store in your area, they have great prices on running shoes, running outfits. Great deals on New Balances, Reeboks..ect. Thats where i would purchace my stuff for track. Nextag.com and eastbay.com have great variety on spike long distance shoes and clothing

Question : what are some cross country shoes?
in high school used to do football switch to cross country what are good running shoes

Answer:
get spikes. not the ones with the really thin bottoms...those are sprinting spikes. the bottoms should be about 5cm thick at the heel.

Question : recommendation for cross country running shoes?
this's my 2nd year doing cross country, and i haven;t found shoes that really fit me. I went to shoe store and ask for help, but really they don;t help that much. I'm trying to find shoes train for racing. do any body have a good experience with cross country shoes? are the shoes the lighter the better?

Answer:
Right now, the most popular shoe for XC runners on the market right now are the Nike XC Forevers. http://www.eastbay.com/catalog/advancedSearch/search--k/keyword--distance+shoes/cm--TnDdTrackDist That link will give you a website with nice shoe options and cheap to. The forevers came out with "new" colors, but are $40 more than the orginal colors. If you want to pay a little extra to be a little flashy than go ahead, but if not I recommend the $50 Forevers. Most of the kids on my team wear them. Also if you decided to buy from the site Eastbay, you can google "Eastbay coupons" and you can find 20% off coupons.

Question : Whats a good kind of cross country shoes for a meet? Like do I want Spikes,or Flat bottom rubber??
Cross Country course are all different, they are hilly, rough, and soft. It is 3.1 miles and I need a good race shoes, I am a junior in high school.

Answer:
for cross country you're going to want spikes with a rubber spike plate and removable spikes this way, if the course has a lot of cement on it, you can take the spikes out and just race without them in the shoe go to a running shoe store, though, as opposed to a huge sporting goods store, because they'll make sure you're fitted correctly and will recommend a good pair for you

Question : What are good Cross Country race shoes?
I have never done Cross Country before but have done track. So for cross country are spiked shoes good or are non spikes better? Any brands and models you recommend? I personally did not enjoy running with spikes in track because I thought it was harder for some reason, I guess this is just a personal preference. But what would you recommend? Just regular Asics shoes?

Answer:
I'd suggest spikes. Over 5k, you may have hills, dirt, mud, woodchips, or even sand. All of this terrain means that a secure grip so you don't slip and your feet don't slide is very important. Spikes are therefore important. I'm a fan of saucony, notably the Saucony Kilkenny spike, but not everyone likes those. I'd go to a running store and have them fit you, and to try different shoes out. Good luck this season! ~Abab

Question : what are the best shoes for cross country racing?
I am new to cross country so I need a little guidance in what type of shoes to get....

it depends on how you run where i live (Houston, TX) there are two shoe stores "finish strong" and "Luke's locker" they will see how you walk and give you shoes good for you

Question : Do I need sprinting shoes for cross country?
I know cross country is a long distance, and not really sprinting sorta sport but i was wondering if i should get light weight sprinting shoes for races... So do I need sprinting shoes for cross country? help! thanx! :)

Answer:
You should get just running shoes to train in, but for races and such, I would say you should buy flats ( flats are light-weight and helps you move faster in races). You can buy flats at Snail's Pace. It shouldn't be too expensive.

Question : what props can I use to represent cross country besides shoes?
I'm giving a presentation on something I know a lot about in class. I've chosen to do mine on cross country. Because I know what techniques you need, and what foods to eat and etc... But we have to have two props. All I can think of to use is my shoes, what else can I possibly use?

Answer:
You could mabey bring in like a sweatband or find out about a famous cross country runner and write his name really big on a piece of paper or something like tht
