Very Nice Shoe

This is a great light running shoe. The cushioning is just right without Having a bulky sole. I like the fact that the heel is not as built up as most trainers without scrificing forefoot cushioning. The sprung toe and lower heel give it a racy feeling. This would be a great marathon racing shoe for heavier or slower runners. Very nice!

Looking forward to many miles on this shoe

I just got these shoes and my first impressions are: Wow, great cushioning. They have been a real pleasure to run in. The shoes have great ventilation (a big plus for me as my feet always have heat and perspiration issues.) The upper shoe is mostly mesh with just the right amount of structure to support the laces - yet not so much as to affect breath-ability. I am fortunate that the sport's store personnel knew enough to put me onto these.

A Lil Tight In The Toes

A fine shoe but a little tight in the toe area - okay, so this one is a lil tight in the toes - they're okay when you wear them continuously but they're snug when you haven't worn them for a while - but then again, everyone's feet are different anyway so who's to say what my opinion counts for?

MR790 Lightweight Trail Shoe

The MR790 is a very lightweight trail running shoe, comparable in weight to a street racing flat. For climbing, its light weight makes it a joy. The compromise, of course, is that it isn't super supportive and the midsole is fairly thin. I replaced the thin, flimsy insoles with a set of Superfeet which provide a bit more support and protection, but don't add a lot of weight. The tread on the bottom of the sole is not super aggressive, so you won't be getting a huge amount of traction. Using careful footwork on technical downhills is advised. I used these shoes to pace an Angeles Crest 100 runner through the last 25 miles from Chantry Flat to the finish and was pretty satisfied. No blisters or aching feet at the end. - CW Journey

Great shoe for the price

I'm not a long distance runner so I don't have a lot of experience with running shoes, but I have been thoroughly been impressed with this shoe. I admit that I wasn't expecting much having paid $25, but the shoe has great shock absorption and is very comfortable. The only caution I would give is that it does seem to be a fairly narrow shoe, so if you have wide feet I would possibly look for another shoe.

Comfortable and lightweight shoe

Im very happy with the fit and quality of this shoe. It's extremely lightweight and comfortable.

2 marathons and counting

I have run in Adidas Supernova Classics for the past 4 years, and they are excellent shoes. As with any running shoe, its not a one-size-fits-all, and it is definitely narrower than some other models. I've worn them through 2 marathons, 3 half-marathons, and countless miles of training with no complaints. I'm actually in the middle of ordering my third pair, and I'd recommend them to anyone, especially if you have a narrow foot and tendancies to overpronate slightly (your shoe-soles wear out more quickly towards the small toes than the large).

Excellent design, Supernova is a classic

I have used this model for about 5 years, mainly for walking rather than running. I have had some joint problems in recent years, and this model was recommended by the well known local running store. What I like about it is that the design gives a lot of what I would call 'flexible support'...it allows your body a certain amount of natural flexibility in how you strike and follow through, but it still maintains very good motion control and stability...it's a great mix for someone like me with sensitive joints. I just hope Adidas keeps making this model, as the manufacturers always like to revise their models...

Questions & Answers
Question : How long should I wear new running shoes before they're broken in enough to run a 5k?
I am running my first 5k in a few weeks and have been training in old running shoes. I want some new ones before the race, but am wondering how long I have to wear them before they're broken in enough. I know it probably depends on the shoe, but am wondering if there is a general rule of thumb.

Answer:
I remember the old days when running shoes needed 10 or 20 miles to loosen up. But nowadays, if the shoe fits, I never get blisters anymore. Also a 5k is pretty short, you'd have a hard time getting blisters anyway unless the shoes were a bad fit. So maybe one or two short runs should be enough.

Question : Will running in actual running shoes help me go faster and make running easier compared to basketball shoes?
Does running shoes compared to basketball shoes make running easier and make me go faster?

Answer:
they probably feel more comfortable when you are getting up and down the court, but basketball shoes are more supportive, have better grip (running shoes slide around way too much), more protection ( you don't want to risk a serious injury) and offer better side to side and lateral movement while running shoes offer better forward motion. If your basketball shoes are bothering you, you should buy more comfortable basketball shoes that are lightweight and flexible. If you don't like mids or highs that grip your ankle , you should buy lows because they offer better traction and support that ordinary running shoes don't have. Plus they are lighter than mids or high basketball shoes. Hope this helps!

Question : How to i pick my running shoes and clothes?
How to i pick my running shoes so that that are best for me? I want them to be safe and comfortable. What should i look for? And how do i find good clothes to run in thatt are comfortable and good for running?

Answer:
http://www.runnersworld.com/article/0,7120,s6-240-319-326-7152-0,00.html check out this link. it shows you what kind of arch you have, which means it is easier to pick the perfect shoe for you! If you need arch support, I pretty much suggest shoes from asics. they are very comfortable! if you are looking for clothing, then I suggest these for shorts:http://www.anacondasports.com/ProductDisplay/10551/10201/173434/173409/139411.htm hope it helped!

Question : Where is a good place to buy running shoes in Taipei, Taiwan?
I am running in the marathon at Tarko Gorge in November. I need to pick up another pair of running shoes, but I have no idea where to go. I've been in Taiwan for 2 months so I know where to get shoes at night markets etc., but I need quality running shoes. It would be nice if there was a shoe or running specific store. It would also be nice if the store has people that speak English and could fit me for quality running shoes. Price is really not an issue.

Answer:
If you are wear it for the competition, don't but it at night markets. You should buy it at department stores, sports wear store...etc. In Taipei, go to Gongguan (公館) very close to Taiwan university, there are some sports wear shops there, price are resonable, quality is also good. Every year from October in Taiwan, time for department store's on sale, buy everything ,they always has discount better than regular time. Shinkong Mitsukoshi, Sogo.... Go go go...

Question : What can running in shoes that are a little narrow do to the health of my feet?
The width of my feet are in between medium and wide. I just bought running shoes in medium width because they didn't have wides. They're a little tight but not that bad though they could stand to be a little roomier. I was curious to know what wearing shoes that are too narrow could do to my feet while running? Is it bad for my feet? What kind of problems could I run into?

Answer:
Last year my girlfriend had shoes that were to narrow. After a month of wearing them she ended up with a bruised bone in her foot. The shoe was squeezing the bones near her toes together and cause the damage. These were not running shoes just everyday shoes. It took about 3 months to heal. I would suggest getting the size and shape you need. Be Well!!

Question : What are the best running shoes that promote forefoot running?
I heard forefoot running is the best and most efficient way to run. I saw these Newton shoes which were $175. Any other good runing shoes?

Answer:
Whoa, whoa, whoa. Forefoot running is how humans are made to run. Period. Your knee is a shock absorber. Your ankle is a shock absorber. We've been babied into thinking that it's ok to heal strike - it's not. Heal striking sends a shockwave through your entire body and is the cause of most running injuries. Secondly, $80 is the minimum MSRP (retail price though you may get them cheaper at outlets) for a good running shoe. Anything under $80 full retail is crap. Running Times did a search a year or two ago of stores like Kohls and Target for a decent off-brand running shoe and found 1 that was just ok. Brooks makes some models, like the Glycerin, that have relatively small amounts of heal lift. Low heal lift makes forefoot running easier.

Question : Do good running shoes really make a difference?
I started jogging and i was wondering what are the benefits of getting good quality running shoes? Do they really make a big difference? If so, what's the difference between wearing them and regular tennis shoes?

Answer:
So im basicly giving you all he advice i have lol have funn running Well they matter in Cross country BIG time!! because we don'tt run on solid courses, it's always better to have a sturdy light weight running shoe i go to Academy for my shoes and equipment. good store =] some tenis shoes wont have an arch which is good to have when your running =] Um all of my friends really like then Nike but its to heavy for me so i dont i go with a really light weight shoe with a good arch. One of my friends counld only find spikes that were light weight so shes been running on spike shoes with out the spikes she says its the best shes ever ran in. Umm if you like running you should deffinetly try Cross Country its a great sport. and later on in the season definitly try track. It will work on your speed and Cross country will work on your distance. Eat right!!! thats a big important thing. and always remember to drink water all day long before you run! Always have that water bottle in hand! Dehidration sucks! and remember KEEP RUNNING dont stop to walk. it ruins your training. keep going and have goals set to where your mind will be focused on that spot not focused on pain or thirst. uh thats it pretty much Keep Those Knees up! Lauren

Question : How to donate running shoes to people in Africa?
I want to get other kids in my school involved with a program that would send old (but still usuable) running shoes to less fortunate kids in poor countries. Does anybody know of a really good program to send the shoes to?

Answer:
Search second sole on google and email the web guy for the website and see if you can mail the shoes to the store there. Hopefully you live close to Cleveland Ohio. If not sorry but at least you have an option. I just know this running store has a box for shoes for kids in Africa.

Question : What are the best running shoes on the market?
I am trying to run along side or behind my daughter and son while they are in cross country. My question is what would be a good running shoe for me to purchase. I can't afford expensive shoes so please suggest something affordable.

Answer:
A lot of times it depends on the runner. I myself am kind of heavy (for a runner) and need lots of shock absorption. I found a great pair of Adidas at Costco and another pair at Fred Meyer. Only paid $35 per pair and they work great. I believe they were called the Adidas Super Cusion at Costco, and Mega Cusion at Fred Meyers. Sometimes Roadrunnersports has a good sale, but personally I like to try them on.
